Who is Mister Dodo Bones?
Info
Mister Dodo Bones has enjoyed a wild and varied life in this sometimes-wacky world of music. He was Jack Bentley in The Jack Bentley Blues Band which featured the guitarist Richard Treece (Help Yourself) and co-founded the legendary acid-folk band MoonKyte.
Mister Dodo Bones also played with a variety of well known blues artistes and has been an independent record label owner, distributer, and music publisher. In contrast to scores of bluesman wannabes and posers, Dodo Bones carries an air of authenticity and makes a case for the River Aire being Yorkshire's own Mississippi Delta. The band is made of Mister Dodo Bones on vocals and guitars; Richard Bostock on double bass; Mark "Eddie" Edwards on guitars; Harry Hamer on snare, brushes, cymbals and guitar. “A man with a voice from beyond the grave” Steve Phillips (Blues Legend and co-founder Notting Hillbillies) “Stonkin quirky blues played with terrifying conviction” Deke Leonard (Man, Iceberg) |
